Around the world, the most successful pro-democracy movements have been those that bring together diverse constituencies across deep social and political divides to work toward the shared aim of combatting autocracy and advancing democracy.
These movements build the trust and collaboration needed to support large-scale noncooperation and nonviolent collective action, while creating the conditions for future reconciliation and graceful accountability.

The Horizons Project brings together U.S. pro-democracy movement actors—faith leaders, business owners, veterans and military families, artists and cultural workers, members of professional associations, labor unions, lawyers, democracy organizers, and others.
We foster the connective tissue needed for a resilient, inclusive, and effective pro-democracy movement by creating spaces for dialogue, learning and skill building, strategy, collective action, and societal repair.
