Drawing on the concept of reparative resistance and the framework of “Block, Bridge, Build,” BOLD equips people with the skills, tools, and mindsets needed to carry out the difficult work of democratic renewal, working with others who approach the work from different angles. The bigger and more diverse the pro-democracy movement is—including a diversity of theories of change and tactics — the more resilient it becomes.
Long-view, transformative change requires the ability to stay present in uncertainty, hold tension and multiple truths, work across different theories of change from multiple perspectives, and find ways to imagine shared futures. BOLD gives organizers, thought leaders, facilitators, and others the concepts, knowledge, and tools to do this: the slow, complex and critical work of broad-based organizing for our shared democratic future.

BOLD covers the following topics:
Block includes confrontation and resistance to harm; Bridge includes forming and strengthening relationships across divides; and Build includes constructing alternative, inclusive and resilient futures.
