Horizons’ exploration of counter narratives seeks to surface the tensions and trade-offs involved in counter narrative work, specifically in the context of authoritarian resurgence, when the narrative terrain is so deeply influenced by fear-based, toxic othering with real world impacts that clearly need disruption. The insights from research and practice that we have gathered help us understand how narrative power is shaped, deployed, and felt across communities.
